Mucositides and blistering eruptions are uncommon.
Extracutaneous involvement such as a) abdominal pain, intussusception or intestinal bleeding; b) arthralgia (or arthritis); or c) acute kidney disease (urinalysis disclosing proteinuria and hematuria with or without cell casts) are uncommon.
The disease course is sometimes characterized by new flares after a brief partial or even a complete remission. Recurrences after a complete recovery for ≥4 weeks are rare.
Acute hemorrhagic edema is a sporadic disease (familial cases are rather exceptional).
